TACTICAL

Knowing what the team and coach wants to do in a given situation and having the knowledge of why certain things are done.

TECHNICAL

Knowing how to do all of the components of the game.  Knowing how to shoot, or dribble, or hit the ball, or catch on the run, etc.
All of these things tie together.  Teamwork can be viewed as a tactical consideration, and power can be a technical skill.  The examples are endless, but one things is clear.  Without a solid foundation in each of the four categories, an athlete will be incomplete and unable to perform at their peak ability.

The most often neglected category is Mental
because most people do not know how to teach or coach mental skills.
