I currently work with elite and non-elite athletes of all ages.  The majority of my work is coaching, of both teams and individuals.  When I started coaching in Portland, OR, I have come to recognize that while many coaches can hold their teams to high standards and teach the technical aspects of the sport, there are not enough coaches that are teaching or coaching the mental aspects of being an athlete.  Too few, in my experience, give any credence to getting their players to understand the game or the reasons behind strategy.  They were focused on short term wins and losses, rather than long-term athlete development.

Long-term athlete development requires a synthesis of the physical, mental, tactical and technical aspects of the sport.  In order to progress from one level to another, these aspects must constantly be improved.  People have to progress as athletes in order to have success over the long term.

I am teaching people how to take the next step today, tomorrow and in the future.
